Terms for planning estimates

Use these pages and tools as planning aids. They organize measurements and estimates, but they do not inspect your home, product, vehicle, or work site.

Estimates, not promises

Results depend on the measurements and assumptions entered. Product dimensions, nominal sizes, coverage, packaging, vehicle capacity, and site conditions can change. Recheck the important dimensions and allow for real-world variation before buying, cutting, booking, loading, or installing anything.

Verify the product and site

Confirm current specifications, instructions, availability, return terms, delivery limits, and warranty conditions with the seller or manufacturer. Confirm doors, stairs, elevators, utilities, property rules, permits, and access conditions with the responsible property or service provider.

Work outside this scope

The site provides no structural, electrical, gas, plumbing, fire, code, engineering, or safety certification. It does not tell you where drilling, demolition, wiring, piping, load-bearing changes, hazardous material work, or regulated installation is safe. Use the appropriate qualified professional and authority for those decisions.

Responsibility and liability

You are responsible for checking inputs and deciding whether a result fits your situation. To the extent allowed by applicable law, the site is provided without a guarantee of accuracy, fitness, availability, or a particular outcome, and its maintainers are not liable for losses caused by relying on an estimate instead of required verification.
