A product only fits if it can travel from the vehicle to its final orientation. Measure the full route, not just the room or the front door.
Measure clear openings
A nominal door size describes the door system, not necessarily the space available for an object. Measure the clear opening between the door and stop with the door open as far as it will actually go. Record clear height too, including thresholds, closers, and handles.

Walk the full route
Check the vehicle approach, gates, porch, entry, hallways, stair width, landings, ceiling changes, elevator doors, and every turn. Compare the object width, depth, height, and diagonal in the orientations that can realistically be maintained by the movers.
Add delivery notes to the room-by-room inventory used in moving planning so route constraints remain attached to the item that causes them.
Treat uncertainty honestly
Soft goods can compress, removable legs can change dimensions, and a tight turn is a three-dimensional maneuver. A measurement comparison can expose likely failures, but it cannot guarantee delivery. Confirm removable parts with the manufacturer and difficult routes with the delivery team before purchase or move day.
